Package Overview

The full island loop in eight days, using Taiwan's high-speed rail to make it painless. Three nights in Taipei for the city and the north coast, two at Sun Moon Lake for the cycling path and the Alishan forest railway, and two in Kaohsiung for the Buddha Museum and the south. It is more moving than the Taipei-and-Taroko trip, but the HSR does the work — Taipei to Kaohsiung takes ninety minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Less than it looks. Two of the three transfers are ninety-minute high-speed rail legs with reserved seats and luggage space. If you would rather stay put, the Taipei and Taroko itinerary has only one move.
