The Philippines is not one holiday, it is a choice between several. Palawan is the one people fly for — El Nido's lagoons and Coron's shipwrecks are the reason the country keeps topping island lists. Cebu and Bohol pair diving and waterfalls with the Chocolate Hills and tarsiers. Boracay is the easy one: four kilometres of powder-white sand and a sunset everyone photographs. Manila is where you land, and worth a night for Intramuros and the food.
What surprises most Indian travellers is how little translation the trip needs. English is an official language and is spoken everywhere — by boatmen, hotel staff and tricycle drivers. Prices sit well below Japan or Korea, so the budget goes into boats, dives and beachfront rooms instead of city hotels.

A week in the islands
- 1Day 1 — Land in Manila
Arrive via Singapore, Bangkok or Hong Kong. Night in Manila; dinner in Poblacion or a walk through Intramuros if you land early.
- 2Day 2 — Fly to Puerto Princesa or El Nido
A short domestic hop, then the road or boat transfer to El Nido. Afternoon on Las Cabanas beach for the sunset.
- 3Days 3–4 — El Nido island hopping
Tour A for the lagoons, Tour C for Matinloc Shrine and Hidden Beach. Both are full days on the water with lunch cooked on the boat.
- 4Day 5 — Ferry or fly to Coron
Kayangan Lake, Twin Lagoon and Barracuda Lake in one day; the wrecks the next if you dive.
- 5Day 6 — Coron or Boracay
Add a Boracay night if you want beach and nightlife, or stay in Coron for a slower reef day.
- 6Day 7 — Manila and home
Domestic flight back to Manila and the connection home. Keep a comfortable buffer — island flights move with the weather.

- Money
Philippine Peso (PHP). Cards work in cities and resorts; El Nido, Coron and island tours are largely cash. Carry pesos before you leave Manila.
- Getting around
Domestic flights and ferries link everything — the country is spread over 7,641 islands, so a week usually means two or three internal legs. We build those into the package rather than leaving you to book them.
- Boats
Island-hopping runs on bangka outriggers. Environmental and terminal fees are collected locally, in cash, and are small but unavoidable.
- Connectivity
A local eSIM or a SIM at the airport is worth it; resort Wi-Fi on the smaller islands is slow.
- Food
Adobo, sinigang, lechon and kinilaw. Vegetarians should flag it when booking — it is manageable but not the default.

How many days do I need for the Philippines?
Seven days covers Manila plus one island region properly. Ten days lets you pair Palawan with Cebu and Bohol without spending the trip in airports. Under six days we would suggest a single island.
Is it a good honeymoon destination?
Yes — El Nido and Coron in particular. Private lagoon tours, beachfront villas and very few crowds outside the peak fortnight around New Year.
Can we do it with parents or small children?
Comfortably. English everywhere, short boat rides, and resorts used to families. We would keep it to Boracay or Cebu and skip the longer island-hopping days.
What does a Philippines trip cost from India?
