Overview

A perennial mountain favourite, Manali offers the snow point of Solang Valley, the high Rohtang Pass, riverside cafés along the Beas, and the old-world charm of Manu Temple and the Vashisht hot springs. Around 540 km from Delhi, it is an ideal 4 to 5 day Himalayan escape.

Getting there: overnight buses and road trips from Delhi take about 12 to 14 hours. Bhuntar airport near Kullu is about 50 km away.
